Turn The Other Cheek

I imagine many of you have heard of the Blasphemy Challenge. I've pretty much watched as many videos as I could and contributed. I was very happy to see such a wide variety of people. Its quite uplifting and positive. After all the religious people kill each other we should have sufficient diversity in our gene pool to carry human kind forward, sans the God gene.

On another note, I also read many of the comments from the upstanding, moral Christians. It seems that the phrase "turn the other cheek" is not referring to the cheek we think it does. The comments posted from Theists were filled with such poison and hatred I was taken aback.
And just so you know, I referee hockey. And I've been called everything under the sun including the "a" word, the "b" word, and yes the "c" word.

Now to be fair, many of us are calling Theists stupid and/or ignorant. But whether or not this is true is irrelevant. What gets me is that the response to being called stupid is... "Oh yeah well I hope that all the flesh on your body will be burned off and that you live in excrutiating pain and suffering for all eternity". And I know I'm going out on a limb here but I'm assuming that eternity means billions and billions of years.

Hmmm. Now if I told a Theist that they were stupid because they failed a Logic test would the response above be appropriate?

Sacrifice 2006

In the 21st century, it turns out that many of our fellow human beings are still performing ritual sacrifices......on animals, on live animals, on live furry animals.

Perhaps "human" is too strong a word.

Saddam Hussein has left the building

According to Allah's spokesman, Saddam is resting comfortably in his new home in paradise. He plans to start raping his 72 virgins once he's settled in.

New Years Resolution

I decided as a New Years resolution last year that I would start my own blog. I achieved my goal with just a little less than 8 hours to spare. Perhaps this New Years resolution will be not to procrastinate so much
